Agata Lisiak is an Associate Professor of Migration Studies at Bard College Berlin and a co-founder of migART, a repository of activist, research, and teaching projects engaging with migration through creative and collaborative methods. She was previously a researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences at Humboldt University in Berlin, a Marie Curie Actions fellow at the Institute of Human Sciences in Vienna as well as a program coordinator and curator at various cultural institutions in Berlin including the House of World Cultures. Originally from Poland and based in Berlin since 2005, Agata works at the intersections of migration studies, urban sociology, and cultural studies and has published on urban cultures in Central and Eastern Europe, migration from Eastern to Western Europe, representations of women and girls in popular culture, and creative methods in social research. You can access her list of publications here
